The weather doesn’t always cooperate on paddling days and this was one of those days. This route is
typically very scenic passing past the rocky cliffs and estates in Middletown, RI on the way to Newport.
This day, the fog was so thick, we could not see the shore once we were in the middle of the bay. It
can be quite disorienting and makes you seriously consider purchasing a compass.
