Narragansett Bay provides miles of varied coastline and islands to explore.  It stretches between Providence, RI to the north and Newport, RI to the south.  Living within an hour of any part of the bay makes this a natural playground for us in the spring, summer and fall. Our favorite area in the east bay is the Sakonnet River area, south of Fogland Beach to Sakonnet Point and Newport. We also like the Beavertail State Park area as well as the stretch between Wickford and Dutch Island. There are three excellent Kayak shops with rentals depending on where you are on the bay.  The Kayak Centre is located in Wickford, Ocean State Adventures is located in Bristol Harbor, and the Sakonnet Boathouse is located in Tiverton.
