Santa Cruz is at the northern edge of the Montery Basin. It’s a poplular spot for surfers as you can
see. With a strong 20 knot wind coming off the shore and the swells coming toward shore, the waters
were bumpy and confused. In the Santa Cruz harbor, is the Kayak Connection which has an excellent
variety of fiberglass and plastic rental boats for any skill level. It is advised to call ahead as the swells
entering the harbor may result in the harbormaster not allowing kayaks to go out.
